A book review by Jiaa Charlie and the Chocolate Factory written by the most well-known author of the 1900’s: Roald Dahl was a spy, ace fighter pilot, chocolate historian and medical inventor. He was also the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG and many more brilliant stories. He remains the world’s number one storyteller.Quentin Blake has illustrated more than three hundred books and was Roald Dahl’s favourite illustrator. In 1980 he won the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal. In 1999 he became the first ever Children’s Laureate and in 2013 he was knighted for services to illustration. This book is all about a boy named Charlie who is from a lower background and didn’t know that he was the luckiest person in the world. Charlie’s parents could not afford a good lifestyle for themselves, their parents and Charlie. Mr. Willy Wonka recently made a decision to allow five lucky children this year to visit his gigantic chocolate factory; but for that they need to win a golden ticket which is hidden in five chocolate bars which were given away to different parts of the world. If you want to know if Charlie wins the golden ticket to visit Mr. Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory or not? I find this book very interesting, then I would rather suggest to you to read it. My favourite scene from this book is: when an enormously plum boy whose name is Augustus Gloop. He adores being greedy. Unfortunately during his visit in the factory he got stuck in a pipe which was taking chocolate into the fudge room. I would recommend this book to the people who desperately adore reading the books of Roald Dahl.
I rate this book 5/5 stars because of the content, new vocabulary and no grammatic errors made.
My daughter Jiaa has written this book review with a creative mind which I am proud of.
